Endoscopic Operations: Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Methods

Compass Medical cooperates with competent treatment clinics in Germany, where professional doctors specialize in reconstructive and plastic surgery on the uterus and appendages; these operations sometime need to be carried out for such diseases as adhesions, uterine myomas and endometriosis.

In addition to therapeutic treatment, operations of various types of complexity are performed. In order to shorten hospitalization time, to reduce the duration and strength of the postoperative pain period and to obtain a good cosmetic effect, as well as to significantly shorten the recovery time after the operation – or in the treatment of gynecological problems – German doctors use minimally invasive methods of therapy as often as possible, including endoscopic techniques. These procedures are unique in that there is almost no need for a cut of the abdominal cavity for their implementation.

One of the methods of endoscopic surgery is laparoscopic operation; when using this method of procedure, the surgical instrument is inserted through the hole in the anterior abdominal wall. Laparoscopic surgery is common in the following cases:

  • Ectopic pregnancy
  • Separation of adhesion between pelvic organs
  • Removal of ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus
  • Removal of ovarian cysts
  • Removal of uterine fibroid

Along with the laparoscopic method, there is another kind of endoscopic operation called hysteroscopic treatment. For this method, endoscopic instruments are inserted through the vagina into the uterine cavity. Hysteroscopy is prescribed in the following cases:

  • Dissection of internal pipe fittings
  • Moxibustion of the mucous membrane of the uterine wall
  • Stopping uterine bleeding
  • Removal of polyps, myomas
  • Treatment of women with repeated miscarriages

Treatment of oncological diseases

In Germany, the diagnosis and detection of various kinds of neoplasms in the female body system is at an early stage of development, and despite the fact that oncological and pre-cancer conditions are diagnosed in every tenth woman, the mortality rate for this group of oncology is relatively low. In most cases, with timely detection, there is complete or prolonged remission, this is due to the high level of development of modern gynecological oncology treatment in Germany.

Gynecological oncology includes tumors of the uterus, tumors of the cervix and breast tumors. Most of the tumors are conditionally benign, and do not represent a clear threat to the health of women. However, there is a risk not only of the independent development of cancer, but also the change of initially benign formations into malignant ones. In the arsenal of German doctors, there is a wide range of diagnostic techniques to prevent this from happening. These methods are not only diagnostical, but also include hardware studies, preventive procedures and biochemical analyses.

In addition to chemotherapy, radiation therapy and the classical methods of surgical interventions, German doctors incorporate methods that maintain the integrity of the female reproductive system with minimal invasive influence.

Separately, you can note such methods as:

Vaccination is a means to prevent the development of cancer with a high probability.

  • Gamma knife is a laser surgery technique that allows you to accurately remove the tumor, while not affecting adjacent areas, does not break the sensitivity and does not leave any scars.
  • Laparoscopy, in case of significant lesions, makes it possible to carry out a partial or complete removal of the tumor, leaving no scarring behind it.

The goal of treating cancer in the female reproductive system is not only to save the patient’s life, but also to restore the functional abilities of the uterus and ovarian organs – making it possible after the end of treatment to continue to live a happy, full family life and fully experience the joy of motherhood.

The company Compass Medical organizes the treatment of gynecological diseases in leading and reputable treatment clinics in Germany.
